stevehoward
I am trying to decide whether to learn joomla or php. I have a good foundation of html/css, now I want to be able to offer dynamic websites.
trq
One is a programming language, the other, a program written in that language. If your not overt to the idea of programming you might be better off simply learning how to use a CMS. Though you might not be able to offer much of a service without being able to customize it. You need to understand though that learning to program isn't something your going to pick up (and run with) quickly, it takes quite a bit of time and a certain mind frame. lukejd83
If you're asking about whether you should learn a CMS (Joomla) or php, I would just stick with Joomla. Quite easy to pick up, and if you need to learn php along the way to edit your Joomla site, take it as it comes.
shlumph
It depends on what your overall goal is. What is it?
Ian Bothom
I think both are important but if you want an option than go for PHP Joomla is easier than PHP but most of the people wants PHP. Best of luck to you.
