Ninjakreborn
I have been trying to make this work for 2 weeks, I couldn't get one built, and I couldn't find one. I tried using javascript/php and nothing I tried to do worked. I am simply trying to get it to scroll horizontally. I need to get the information from the database, put it in a javascript array, and then get it to scroll, but I couldn't get anything to work for some reason, any advice on a third party script somewhere. hostfreak
How about a marquee?http://www.funky-chickens.com/marqs2.shtml Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/21970-scrolling-banner/#findComment-98103 Share on other sites
SharkBait
Why not flash? I'll have to take a look but one of my coworkers had some sorta simple flash kit that allowed you to make really cool banners. It wasn't complicated to use either. I'll try and get back with the url for it.But if you're looking for just text the HTML scrolling marquee is ok. I'd do a search on JS for any scripts for scrolling text since the marquee is an ugly thing to use like Blink was ;) Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/21970-scrolling-banner/#findComment-98128 Share on other sites
Ninjakreborn
How about a marquee?http://www.funky-chickens.com/marqs2.shtml
actually marquee is regular xhtml. But for one I think it's deprecated, and another it ONLY works in internet explorer, that was my first option, but I decided not too, because it was suppose to reach businesses, I think that only in ie, wouldn't work for this situation.
I have been trying to make this work for 2 weeks, I couldn't get one built, and I couldn't find one.
