trq Posted December 7, 2010 Share Posted December 7, 2010 Put it in your .bashrc file. this file should be within your home directory. Then, logout and bake in. mysql & mysqladmin should then be on your PATH and you will be able to simply execute them without having to type the full filepath. I'm a bit suss on your installation method as all of this should normally be taken care of already. I'm not a mac user though (I use GNU/Linux). I was going to point out the page I got MySQL from, but I can't find it. It seems I installed an outdated copy (5.1.40).
