ricky12
Hello, I just moved a website to another server on which DirectAdmin is installed. I now checked the "System Information" which tells me the following: Vendor ID GenuineIntel Processor Speed (MHz) 2400.085 Total Memory 1035108 kB Free Memory 152836 kB Total Swap Memory 2097144 kB Free Swap Memory 1903100 kB I don't know much about server management, but as far as I understand only 150MB of the 1GB of RAM is still available, which means that about 85% of my ram is used. Is this normal or am I having problem here..? Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/221168-is-my-server-overheating/ Share on other sites
requinix
Unused memory is wasted memory. The fact that the system is using a lot is a good thing. MySQL, for one, loves taking as much as it can, so if you're running that then 15% free memory is normal. 1GB total for a server is rather low. Consider upgrading.
