I'm looking for a simple yet secure way to encrypt a string (not hash, I need to retrieve it later) so that I can store legally sensitive data which I need to use again later. I am aware that any kind of reversable data is by nature not properly secure, but it's not my decision. Minimum length of the key used? If there are restrictions on cipher method?
