GB_001
Hi, my website isn't open to the public yet but I made a promo video to try and show off it's features. I'm not sure about it's effectiveness though. Video: Thankyou. -GB.
unlishema.wolf
That looks like a pretty cool website. When will it be open to public?
GB_001
That looks like a pretty cool website. When will it be open to public? Probably sometime in June, mostly due to the fact that it needs polish and that I have to gain funds to host the website on a server that can handle it. unlishema.wolf
Have you looked at the free hosts here on the forum. I myself use http://000webhost.com And it looks good. I am actually wondering how you did the popup windows myself. lol
Adam
I can't see the video at the moment as I'm at work connecting through a proxy, but when it comes to a website critique a video can look fantastic. Whether or not the website lives up to that in terms of mark-up, cross-browser compatibility, accessibility, etc. is another matter. If you want a proper critique, open up a private BETA site or something that we access.
gerkintrigg
I may be a little harsh here, I'm afraid... The video looks very good - high quality, clever effects and the software looks clever. To improve it, I'd tone down the backgrounds of the windows as they clash sometimes. Think "Apple iPad" and you'll not be far wrong. The music is driving me nuts! get a professional to do a voice over or do one yourself if you can't afford a pro. The features are not very clearly spelled out - I know it's a chat thing but is it a site, stand alone software or what? Perhaps edit it to zoom in better to show the features and key benefits. and a voice over will help with this, a lot. I hope this helps. I don't mean to be over-critical. I think perhaps re-look at the logo. You're after something that reflects how clever and innovative your product is. The GB thing just looks a bit clip-art for my liking. Great idea for the video, though. Most people (even now) don't do that. Cheers, Neil
thewooleymammoth
looks like a desktop environment. Application api? Also that may not translate well in to a mobile environment, which is what everyone is going to want in a social networking site. Looks cool though. Good luck
unlishema.wolf
Well for a mobile environment he can make it however he wants as long as they can interact.
