Rifts
Hey! Is it bad/wrong/harmful to run an odd amount of ram? Not sticks just ram? for example can I do this: 3 sticks are 1 gig each = 3 gigs ram 1 stick of 4gig = 4 gigs total being 7 gigs in 4 sticks? gizmola
Unless the mobo requires paired sticks, it doesn't matter. My caveats being: if this is a 32 bit machine/ os, there's no point in having more than 4 gigs since they can't be addressed. Philip
Also note, typically all the ram will be bumped down to the slowest stick (lowest common denominator) Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/225111-probably-a-dumb-question/#findComment-1162717 Share on other sites
