MattJG77 Posted January 24, 2011 Share Posted January 24, 2011 hello. just thought i'd post up a link to our car club website and see what you guys think. the main website is a joomla install with a RocketThemes theme and the forum is a phpBB install also running the same theme. we've been running this website for over a years now and i've been involved in the previus clubs websites for about 5/6 years now. nothing out of the ordinary there untill i tell you im and Painter and Decorator by trade and flunked English at school due to dyslexia. Maq Posted January 24, 2011 Share Posted January 24, 2011 The site looks nice but the load time is pretty long. I suggest running YSlow while your page loads to see what you can do to speed it up. You have 121 HTTP requests. This page has 20 external Javascript scripts. Try combining them into one. This page has 10 external stylesheets. Try combining them into one. This page has 75 external background images. Try combining them with CSS sprites.
