oldognewtricks
Everywhere I look I see that PHP "is easy to learn". I am not convinced quite yet. I find the basics easy but looking at the source code of some pages is a whole lotta Greek. I have dabbled in basic HTML web pages for a few years and I am familiar with SQL db. I have a Surname database that I plan on putting on the web soon and will need some help getting it scripted. I am here to learn and this looks like a good place to start. oldognewtricks
Thanks cssfreakie, I have two books that I got cheap but I don't think they are highly rated; PHP & MySQL for Dummies and Beginning PHP5, Apache, MySQL Web Development. NowI don't remember if I saw it on this site or another about what books the members considered good. I will have to poke around some more.
