How can i dump a mysql table and restore it?

This is the typical way to do it:

mysqldump --opt [db_name] [table_name] > [outputfile_name].sql

But, as Mellis directed you to, check the manual for specific parameters and options to suit your needs.

How can i do the same thing from mysql prompt?

I logged in from mysql prompt.

mysql -u root -p
password:
mysql>

Now is it possible to do mysqldump?

You do it from the command line but NOT while you're in the MySQL prompt.
