skew Posted July 29, 2011 Share Posted July 29, 2011 In other programming languages and DBMS, strings are typically represented by either a ' sign or a " sign. In contrast to MySQL, these two sign are not used to represent a string. The ` sign is curiously used. This is in my opinion very uncommon in the programming world.
