To fix ereg depreciate errors you generally just need to change it to it's preg counterpart and add delimiters, here is the part that needs to be fixed:

	    if ( ereg( ']* class=[^>]+>', $commenter ) ) {$commenter = ereg_replace( '(]* class=[\'"]?)', '\\1url ' , $commenter );

    } else { $commenter = ereg_replace( '(<a )/', '\\1class="url "' , $commenter );}

And here it is fixed:

	    if ( preg_match( '~]* class=[^>]+>~', $commenter ) ) {$commenter = preg_replace( '~(]* class=[\'"]?)~', '\\1url ' , $commenter );

    } else { $commenter = preg_replace( '~(<a )/', '\\1class="url "~' , $commenter );}

I chose to use the ~ as delimiters for not particular reason, that is just my preference.
