nottoolate
Hello, I'm trying to hyperlink to a file that's on our remote server and I'm having trouble with the path. The server does require a login/pass and I'm not sure if that needs to be included... requinix
If the user's browser has authenticated with that server recently then the username and password won't be required (because the browser will still remember them and/or the user entered them already). If not then you probably should. Keep in mind that they'll be right there in the URL for anybody to see. http://username:[email protected] Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/247540-linking-to-remote-server/#findComment-1271163 Share on other sites
fredrikrob
I would like to hyperlink from the resources which don't need any authentication. It's not good too use user-name and password in the url. Instead you can share your resource through any other way. Ftp with anonymous permission is good option for the same .
