trq
Probably not a completely accurate count considering the entire source tree might not necessarily be considered the "kernel" but your question is itself pretty vague anyway. thorpe@oblivion[/usr/src/linux-funtoo-openvz-2.6.32.042.039.10]$ find . -type f | wc -l 34687 Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/252645-kernel-os/#findComment-1295192 Share on other sites
tendouser
Ok let me try again. What is a kernel exactly in an OS? Is a kernel a bunch of files or just one file like in Windows kernel.dll? I'm a web developer but I have an idea that is a core. I want to know exactly of maybe a software programmer professional or some experienced IT. The point is that all I read about it is talking just about the word "kernel" but I want to know accurately. Thanks for your replies! Kind Regards! Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/252645-kernel-os/#findComment-1295439 Share on other sites
