batwimp
From php.net: If while testing locally on your Windows machine you get many warnigns like: Warning: session_start()... failed: No such file or directory Warning: session_start()...: Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent etc. you need to configure properly the session.save_path in your php.ini file. Set session.save_path to an existing folder on your PC. For example: session.save_path="C:\Temp"; Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/260270-warning-session_start/#findComment-1334015 Share on other sites

batwimp
You need to make sure that the line in your php.ini file: session.save_path = "C:\Temp" actually gives a path name of an existing directory. Also make sure there isn't a semicolon before it, as this would comment it out. The default installation of php.ini shouldn't be commented out, though there are some other lines that look similar that should be commented out. (i.e. skip the ones that say session.save_path = "N; /path" and session.save_path = "N;MODE; /path" etc. Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/260270-warning-session_start/#findComment-1334029 Share on other sites
batwimp
It looks like yours is commented out. Remove the semicolon and change the path to something like C:\Temp or another folder that exists on your machine. Jessica
Where did you come up with that path? Or are you saying that was the default? Your server is looking in "/hermes/bosweb25a/b109/ipg.removalspacecom/", not /home/ etc. Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/260270-warning-session_start/#findComment-1334034 Share on other sites
batwimp
Apparently not. The server can't write to it, or you wouldn't be receiving the error. Try changing it to something more generic that exists, and see if it works.
