strftime

Hi,

Perhaps you can help me if I misunderstood anything in the documentation.

This function should return a date:

private function date2($timeStamp, $dateFormat = '%A, %d. %B %Y @ %T'){
		return strftime($dateFormat, $timeStamp);
	}

But it returns bool(false).

 

Right, so this also applies if I put it like this:

private function date2($timeStamp, $dateFormat = '%A, %d. %B %Y @ %T'){
		return strftime($dateFormat);
	}

 

It also happens in major functions and not just test ones. I'm on Windows, using codeiginiter framework.

%T (and others) isn't supported on Windows systems and strftime() will return false if you try to use it.

%T is basically date('H:i:s'). Don't be lazy =P.

 

The following strftime formats are not supported on Windows platform:

'%C'

'%g'

'%G'

'%l'

'%P'

'%r'

'%R'

'%T'

'%D'

'%F'

'%s'

'%n'

'%t'

'%%'
