titan21 Posted May 29, 2012 Share Posted May 29, 2012 I've set up an e-commerce site and wired up the IPN notifications so all is working well. The question I have is how long is a possible purchase valid for? I am trying to account for every user contingency. What I am thinking is that a user may decide to click the "Buy Now" button, get redirect to PayPal and then, for whatever reason, not actually complete the transaction. Let's assume the user comes back six hours later and tries to purchase the item from the PayPal site, I know PayPal will refuse the transaction at some point but I wondered when this happens. I think it's somewhere around 3 or 4 hours but not 100%. Anybody know? Hopefully I am making sense. Thanks in advance!
