Yes - the # breaks the url so before the string is sendt to the url you can use [color=blue]urlencode($string)[/color] that transforms [color=blue]#[/color] to [color=blue]%23[/color]
To get it back as # you use [color=blue]urldecode($_GET['key'])[/color] but remember that this can cause further problems in handeling it.
