Stacking Images and revealing the bottom image

I have two identical sized images that I would like to work with. One image is in color, the other is in black and white. I need assistance on stacking the color image directly over the black and white image. After that, I would like to be able to remove sections of the top photo to reveal the image underneath.

Can someone point me in the right direction on how to accomplish this?

Ok thanks, I will take a look at this now.  Can you guys tell me how to include this code into a php file?  I"m using

$(document).ready(function() {

$('$img').adipoli({

    'startEffect' : 'normal',

    'hoverEffect' : 'popout'

});

But I"m getting a white screen when I add that code.

ok, thanks alot.  I was able to use this javascript fine.  I'm still not able to get the total process down, i'm not sure how to implement the javascript.  I downloaded GPix Pixel Ad Script which does alot of what i'm trying to do, and I'm trying to modify it so that instead of the users uploading their photo when they select pixels, I'd like for the pixels to turn from grayscal  into color,.  The forum that hosts the script is not an active community, so I"m reaching out to phpfreaks to see if anyone is familiar with this.
