It wasn't even a full question, it was a fragment. So don't whine when you don't get the answer you want.

Read this: http://www.phpfreaks.com/page/rules-and-terms-of-service#toc_forum_guidelines

Seen as this is a Php forum and it's specifically in the "Php coding help" section i would of thought that it was pretty self-explanatory that it was a PHP related question.

Well, the description for this forum is

PHP Coding Help

Do you need help with some code you wrote? Ask here! We'll get you the answers!

But, you haven't written any code and are asking about the "fastest" way to do something. So, are you expecting us to try a bunch of different methods and benchmark them for your benefit? Did you even do a simple Google search for what you want to do? I have to assume not since the very first search I did, I found a page which provided code for doing what you want. Is it fast? I don't know - go do your own work.

This thread is more than a year old. Please don't revive it unless you have something important to add.
