ericqo
I have a page in php where users download documents after registering. I need to know what user downloaded what document. How do I go about it - please note I am a newbie. Below is the download code.. <?php '$query = "SELECT * FROM pb_tdownload ORDER BY id"; $result = mysql_query($query); if ( mysql_num_rows($result) ) { echo "<table cellspacing='3' width='100%'>"; while ( $row = mysql_fetch_assoc($result)) { extract($row); echo "<tr><td width='2%'> </td><td>"; echo "<a align='left' href='admin/download/$down_link'><b>$title</b> </a>"; echo "</td></tr>"; } echo "</table>"; }*/ ?> Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/269404-download-tracking-code/ Share on other sites
requinix
Instead of giving a link directly to the file, make the link point to a PHP script. This script makes sure the user is logged in first, then logs the download and outputs the file (which you passed to it via the URL).
