BuildMyWeb Posted August 16, 2013 Share Posted August 16, 2013 i know its a very generic, subjective question. i did some searching here and elsewhere. found some threads and researched opinions. hawkhost.com actually came up a few times with good reviews from users but my limited experience was not very good. left two messages on their "phone system" as they didnt pickup after several minutes. no one has called me back 3 days later :/ ive had very good experiences in the past few years with bluehost but 2013 has seen their shared hosting uptime go to crap. and their service. until the uptime issues, i liked what bluehost offered very much. their WHM/cpanel, management features, and such. never liked godaddy. the custom cpanel, support staff competence,... bleh. any other suggestions? RobertP Posted August 18, 2013 Share Posted August 18, 2013 i have been with webfaction for a while now: - full ssh access - possibility to install your own packages, run your own mysql, apache / w.e else - dedicated ram - plans starting less then 10$ - and amazing uptime...
