Error in my login session

I don't know how to solve this error;

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '$db' (T_VARIABLE)

Your message should also be showing you a line number. That would point you to that first use of $db. Looking closely you should then note that the line before $db doesn't end properly. Case solved.

Doesn't this throw and error as well?

$ses_sql = mysql_query("select username from login where username ='$user_check", $connection);

... and “$SESSION” and “mysql_fect_assoc” and “$row[username]” ...

 

Your really need to write your code more carefully. If you tend to make lots of typos, slow down and double-check each line before you go on.

 

I also recommend that you use an IDE like Netbeans instead of a simple text editor. This will help you recognize obvious mistakes as you write, so that you don't have to hit F5 in your browser all the time.

Might as well link to and learn PDO , they have some examples there, be a better start.
