How to create a Dockable/Floating window using AJAX

How can i create a dockable/floating window using Ajax,

I am creating a web instant messenger i want a dockable and floating window showing the Contact list of the person who signed in

I just want to know how can i use Ajax to create such a window.

you can see www.meebo.com i just want that kind of windows. when you sign in to any of your IM client using www.meebo.com. after signing in you get a window which is dockable and floating having your contact list.

...... creating the window doesn't involve AJAX.  That is strictly setup using CSS/Javascript.  Updating it with recent buddy changes would be where the AJAX part comes in.

If you've started something, please post the code so we can help.  No one is going to write it for you.

The admin was absolutely right. This is no ajax thing. It is just a simple layer. So you can easily use layers to make the things go right. As for the contact list you will be needing the AJAX. If you need help email me at info@sitesmith.net.in.
