SecondCity
In this code... $ch = curl_init(); if($ch === false) { die('Failed to create curl object'); } $timeout = 5; curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL, $url); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, 1); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_CONNECTTIMEOUT, $timeout); $data = curl_exec($ch); curl_close($ch); return $data; } Is it correct that when cURL runs it fetches the contents of the web page located at the above URL and then stores the webpage's HTML into a variable called $data ? requinix
Yes. But if that's all you're doing then you might as well just use file_get_contents() instead.

I am trying to learn to use cURL so I can send an xml string to a payment processor and then get a response back. Don't have any experience with cURL or XML...
