infernodia
I want to change a filename without changing the code, or the filename inside of the directory, the only place the file name would be changed is in the browser. could I do this with a rewrite rule, or is there a way I could do it with php without having to edit htaccess. requinix
If you have a PHP framework that could support what you're doing then yes, you could do it in PHP. Otherwise you'll need URL rewriting to tell Apache that requests for /newfile.php should go to /oldfile.php instead. Why can't you just rename the file like normal?
