requinix
Due to the number of people attempting to reply to threads, despite the instructions at the top of the forum page that says not to, replies have been disabled. This may be revisited in the future. Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/309950-re-adjustments-to-job-offerings-forum/ Share on other sites
Barand
I thought it was perhaps an "Illiteracy filter" service offered by the site. Would you hire someone who can't read simple instructions? 1 Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/309950-re-adjustments-to-job-offerings-forum/#findComment-1573913 Share on other sites
requinix
My intention is to find a way to put a warning on the reply page itself, but I'm not sure there's a solution for IPB that (1) doesn't require buying a damn addon and (2) doesn't require hacking the page template (too much). gizmola
I'm fine with disabling replies. It fits our intentions perfectly. Only thing it doesn't allow is the poster to reply to the original post stating the opportunity is filled, but people rarely if ever have done that anyways. The constant flow of dummies who don't read the instructions and reply anyways is annoying. requinix
I'd be nice if there was a permission option specific to the thread creator. Replies from other people could be disabled but replies from the author could be allowed.
