The Little Guy
Go to Google, and in the search bar type this:site:http://mysite.comInclude the word "site" and the Colon make it look exactly like the bold. This will show all the sites they have indexed for your site.change mysite to you site's name
jwk811
yeah my site comes up like that but what about the people that are searching for sites in that category?
Jessica
It's probably just lower in the ranking. What is the site and what are the keywords you want?
The Little Guy
Well, if you got something from that search, then that means your site is listed. google donesn't really index off of meta tags, they do it based on content of the site, so search for some text within your content.you also may want to add a robots.txt file in your root directory if you don't already have one. trochia
Read up on SEO or just tell everyone you know to go to google, find your site...click on it...and eventually before you die...you'll be on top maybe... Google has paid placement...and by the time you spend do get it to the top, you could take a part a part time job at McDonalds...work once a month....to pay the bill to goole.Jim
The Little Guy
have you heard of PageRank? google uses this to help determine how close to the beginning of the list you will be when searched.check this out: http://www.google.com/technology/
jwk811
i found the problem guys.. when the site got submitted to google my site had a under construction page for the index and since it wasnt the actual site it didnt get any keywords from that.. i have it changed to the real site but they only check for words being used in the page every so often so it should be okay soon.. thanks for all your help!
