smokeman
Hello all, here is my situation; I have a table on a remote server, with thousands of records, which I can narrow down to about 50 results with a select like so: $result=mysql_query("select * from `database`.`table` where at_sectcde= '$variable'); now, I need to pull that resultset into another database on localhost, store it, and the next time I run the above, compare the above results to the stored results, and only display the changes to the user. the primary key, or unique identifier is at_id should I be thinking along the lines of using array functions, or complicated multiple database select statements? something like (select * from database.table where at_id "is not in database2") then, take that resultset, store it(therefore only storing changes, if any) and do that each time I need to call that function. or...would I query both databases, then compare the results with php arrays? I really need help getting started with this, thanks, smokeman

Jessica
I'd get both results and compare in PHP.
