Forms, hidden fields and the register_global

Recommended Posts

I have a submit button created by this

echo "<input type=\"submit\" name=\"del\" value=\"Delete Event\">";

and a radio button created by

<input type="hidden" name="eventid" value="<?php echo $eventid;?>">

The server has the setting php register_global off, which I am not used to, the problem is that I can not pick up the value of eventid after the form has called itself through the

<form method=\"POST\" action=\"$_SERVER[php_SELF]\">";

mechanism.

With php register_global set to on this works fine I know it should be in the $_POST superglobal array but I can not work out the syntax to find it.

Help please!
