How are stats calculated

I was just looking at my stats page and there are a few anomolies (see attached screenshot)

 

Look at activity by posts. PHP help shows 2000+ while FAQ shows 11 but the the widths of the bars appear reversed.

 

Also the activity percentages look fubar. I spend most of my time in PHP Help and look at FAQ once every Preston Guild (for none Brits, a Preston Guild is a holiday that occurs one day every 30 years) yet the figures are well adrift.

could be that the percentages calculated are the percentages your activity represents in that specific forum.  so even if most of your time is spent in PHP Help (by posts), the actual percentage it's displaying is the ratio of your posts to total posts in PHP Help, rather than your overall posts.

Bingo.  That's correct.  I was wondering the same thing at first when I started using SMF.
