Suchy
Many scripts relly on IP address of a computer to restrict the user from doing some things (ex. voting multiple times in a poll, baning users....) The problem is that IP's change. Is it possible to use MAC address of a computer which never changes insed of IP ? AndyB
read this -> http://forums.devarticles.com/general-programming-help-4/how-can-i-find-out-the-user-mac-address-1846.html and look at the reply by nicat23 in particular. There are other responses with scripts that may or may not be useful, but I suspect it'll be reliable only across a LAN. Daniel0
MAC addresses are as little reliable as IP addresses are. They can be spoofed as well. Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/45044-mac-insted-of-ip/#findComment-219134 Share on other sites
