I am going to learn to to build a program with it for my user so he can manipulate data in a MySQL database that is located across the country. I have been studying PHP and now I am just now getting into these other languages. Is visual basic the right program for what I am trying to do? I just want to spend my time learning the right language. Also, is this very doable to have build a program that will connect to a MySQL database located in an entire different location?
