jcombs_31
Not sure why this happens, maybe someone here knows. When I use an image as an anchor and try to put a border or background with padding, doesn't form around the entire image. see the example of what I mean here http://www.multimedia-technologies.com/clientsites/melissaburnos/gallery.php You can see the grey border/background only around the bottom of the image. looks fine in IE. Any idea why this happens? Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/47422-solved-images-as-anchors-in-firefox-and-opera/ Share on other sites
ToonMariner
maybe try adding the border to the image rather than the background. you use a table for the layout - IMO a floated list would be betterbut thats just my opinion of course Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/47422-solved-images-as-anchors-in-firefox-and-opera/#findComment-231557 Share on other sites
jcombs_31
I had tried that. The same exact display showed with a padding/background color and border. I ended up fixing it by setting the a tag to display:block and the img tag as well. If the image tag doesn't have display block, then there is a gap at the bottom.
