shage
i currently use this RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule ^/?([^/]+)/?$ /diary/index.php?A=true&nats=$1 [L] the problem is that in wordpress it uses ?p=19 for posts i have to pass on the variable that is made calling the url www.test.com/variable so all links in that page using the $ will be variable, is there a way to do mod rewrite and fix it to do all links throughout the page or do i have to look at another solution Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/56314-hope-this-is-right-place/ Share on other sites
TheFilmGod
I'm a bit confuzed on what is going on. I used wordpress before and there is an option to change how links are made. So they don't have to be liek ?=19 or something like that. They can be /year/month/day. Many different options. Maybe this isn't want you need help with. If so, please explain. I'm confused ... :-\ Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/56314-hope-this-is-right-place/#findComment-278216 Share on other sites
shage
the permalink structure is what your talking about and yes that can be changed, i have a variable that ends the url, as stated above, i would need that variable to transfer from page to page, that way all links on the site have the variable in it, which would be the user name, or maybe a random word, etc Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/56314-hope-this-is-right-place/#findComment-278405 Share on other sites

LInk to the next page carrying the variable with it. <a href="fav.php?page=<?php echo $page; ?>"> Code on the next page... <?php // Page ID $page = $_GET['page']; ?> Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/56314-hope-this-is-right-place/#findComment-278417 Share on other sites
