been reading a book that says i should add this to my pages

ive memorized this but sometimes i forget..i mean wtf..is it really nesasary to remember that? the urls are just long and dumb.

When you use a doctype it helps you to weed out the errors in your HTML and make it run more smoothly on other or all browsers if you have the patience.  If you don't use one then your page may not look right or something really minuet that will bug the hell out of you.

ive been doing html for a long time and i dont even know that.

 

i just use templates that i have made.

 

for example:

 

transitional_template.htm
