[SOLVED] Rank System

How can I structure a "rank" system on my site. I need it so I can have rank, Admin, Member, Guest ect... All at the same time. Ho wcan I do that?

add rank to a db table then 1=admin 2=moderator 3=member so on

then use the numbers to refer to their rank

I was going to do it that way but its to hard. Like Because heres how it has to work. There has to be muliple ones at the same time. Like Level 1 and Level A1 have differnet things but if you have both you get access to both parts.

Yup, what he said (except my levels are reversed). What I've been doing is using code such as:

 

if(!$userdata['session_logged_in'] or $userdata[access'] < 1)
{user is not logged in or hasn't been granted access, display normal welcome text on index.php}

 

if ($userdata['session_logged_in'] and $userdata[access'] >=3)
{display links to admin controls}

add a whole new table with id rank text (username or userid)

have two access level fields then.

If access = A show X

if access2 = A show Y

if access = A AND access2 =A show Z
