Aureole
I just realized there is a file called core.15516 when I was uploading something via FTP. It is 48.7 MB... I am the only person with FTP access to my site. I did a Google search for core.15516 and there was ONE result, this site... to me this is worrying... What say you? Aureole
Sorry I realize this really shouldn't be in PHP Help, it was a spur of the moment thing... Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/73179-core15516/#findComment-369138 Share on other sites
trq
Yep, I would be pretty worried about such a thing. Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/73179-core15516/#findComment-369147 Share on other sites
Aureole
Well I deleted the file and I changed my cPanel and FTP login details so I shall just hope for the best. neylitalo
Core files are useful information when you need to debug a problematic application, usually in the realm of buffer overflows or segmentation faults. Although I've never heard of an application leaving a core dump automatically, it is possible - so that's my guess.
