The only fonts that work are the fonts installed on the visitor's computer. It's got nothing to do with their browser. If they have the font you specify, it'll be used; if they don't they'll see whatever second choice font is listed in your stylesheet or their default font.

you acn use the WEFT tool to make the font available to those who don't have it BUT it is not supported by all browsers.  What you have to do is specify a list of fonts in your css with that last being one that everyone will have while still maintaining a similar feel of the site...
