Spam bot attack..

Well recently I have been getting loads of emails sent through my contact form on my site which is just a basic script.. how can i stop this? I know about using images etc but dont know where to start..

Depending on how fast the spam is, you could put a delay on the time between posts.

What about using one of those 'Captcha' images? Those randomly generated images that are used to have a human enter a set of characters?
