MJL
I am a new sql user so please forgive me if the answer to my question is already on the board. I couldn't find it. I am using a PowerBook G4 with OS X.4.11. I turned sql on through the system preferences. It is running. Question: where is it and how do I access it? I need to add a SQL database and another file that is the database log file that my boss sent me but I don't know where to enter it. My other question is: is mysql the same as Real sql server? I down loaded Real sql server because I couldn't get mysql to work. With Real SQL server - it opens with a log in window. The username says ADMIN, and it asks for a password. How do I set the password or find out what it is? Thanks for your help. MJL

BlueSkyIS
my 2 cents: turn off anything you turned on, including the web server, then download and install MAMP.
