acidglitter
I just got a new site maybe a week ago and I finally have been able to work on it today. The admin folder I want to keep private and usually just do that with an .htaccess file that looks like this.. php_value display_errors 1 php_value error_reporting 2047 AuthName "Restricted Area" AuthType Basic AuthUserFile /home/site/.htpasswd AuthGroupFile /dev/null require valid-user All of my sites before this were using php 4 and the above file worked. But this site is using php 5, and when I keep php_value display_errors 1 php_value error_reporting 2047 in the .htaccess file I get this error: Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Does anyone know how I can fix this? Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/97365-php5-and-htaccess/ Share on other sites
BlueSkyIS
this is most likely an Apache issue, not PHP. http://support.tigertech.net/php-value Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/97365-php5-and-htaccess/#findComment-498208 Share on other sites

Xeoncross
this is most likely an Apache issue, not PHP. An "improper syntax" apache issue for sure. Most people get it with mod_rewrites and such.
