jcbones
Localhost means exactly that, the local server. Meaning the server that resides on the machine that you are accessing. Each server is local to somewhere. If port 80 (default http port) is opened, anyone can access the server (theoretically). awjudd
No you cannot do what you are wanting. Just give up looking. Essentially what you are saying is ... "I need my computer to access the internet when the internet isn't available". ~judda Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/267881-is-it-possible/#findComment-1374442 Share on other sites

SergeiSS
Just imagine - you take your phone, dial number and called subscriber answered. After that you may talk to that man. Internet connection is similar to phone call. First you need a connection and when this connection is established two programs (client and server) may talk. In other words your question is "Is it possible to talk to a remote person without making a call to his phone?" What can you answer to this question? ignace
You can develop your website locally, but those changes will not be visible to online users until you FTP them to your server. http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html If you are looking to make parts of your website offline available, you can use this: http://www.catswhocode.com/blog/how-to-create-offline-html5-web-apps-in-5-easy-steps Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/267881-is-it-possible/#findComment-1374464 Share on other sites
