It will block only that connection that has the potential malicious payload. Any future connections that are clean will go through just fine.

Just wanted to let everyone know that we have deployed a network wide Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) to protect our network against malicious activity (at least a good portion of it). Therefore, if you are trying to make posts with code in it that include items such as a SCRIPT tag, you may not be able to post. I know this an inconvenience, but we are going to work together and setup another code dump site on a separate IP that bypasses these types of filters. Just be careful with the code you post. If you make a post and it takes you to a "Could not Connect" or a blank white screen, you have just triggered the IPS and your connection was blocked. Regards,

Ok here's the scoop. We're stuck with the Kontera Ads (inter-text ads that everyone apparently hates for slowing down their browsing) for a few more months. We need to start generating clicks on these so that we can fulfill our contract and move on to something else. So, if you're sick of them, the sooner we fulfill our clicks, the sooner they can go away. At the rate we're going, it will be another 4 - 6 months because the CPC (Cost Per click) is extremely low on Kontera Ads and quite frankly, I'm not happy with the results we've seen. We've basically sold our souls to the devil and now we're hoping to get it back with some support from our community. Regards,

I think that simple machines forum looks very very nice. I'll keep my eyes on it and see what we can do about moving to something like that. The only thing that I don't see which I really like is the "Lo-Fi Version". If that forum has something like that, I'm game for looking into it. Peace.

I apologize, or should I? Invision Power Board has more issues than a chocolate chip cookie has chocolate chips, I swear it! For some stupid reason, the template cache got corrupted and when I was logged in as Admin using the cookie feature it didn't affect me, but yet it affected others, including people who have not logged in yet. Some developer of a piece of commercial software that we use needs his ass whooped.

For the past day or two, the forums have been offline. We can thank the splendid Invision Power Board team for their outstanding efforts in developing this POS forum that we're stuck with which has so many problems its not funny. I'm about tempted to get us a different forum software. If anyone has experience with something and you recommend it, let us know. We have to be able to port our existing IPB database to it though, so a converter script for IPB 2.1 has to be avaiable. Lets talk about it.
