-You don't identify the website anywhere but in the header.
-The dashed border is uneven around the content inside, giving it a very messed up feel.
-The tabs don't flow into anything. They just get cut off.

How do you seperate phrases with comments? If you ask them for tags to describe their website, and say you type in "PHP, Coding, Web Design", how would the script seperate the 3 phrases, and store them in the database? More of, what is the best way to store tags for something in a database (I can write the DB insert script)?
??? Please help!

Good, 3 day forcast for houston, tx.

No I was talking about changing the form's enitre appearence with a background image, removing the border and stuff.

When I said it was easier to code for IE7 I wasn't saying I disregard standards and just code what looks good in IE. I meant that even if code is valid according to W3C validators, it doesn't display right in FF, and it usually looks great in IE.

It looks like you can just sign up...

Well, let me pose the question this way: will going to Trans. more likely fix the FF display problems or make them even worse?
-
You might just try setting your doctype to xhtml transitional, which does allow for target, strict does not.
Hmmm... will anything freaky happen to my formatting if I switch?
-
United States, works fine for me.

Hmmm seems like I started a highly opinionated thread with a single harmless post :-\
I like IE7 because it has a nice user-friendly interface and can comprehend invalid code pretty well. Tabbed browsing is nice (I realize Firefox also has this) and it is much easier to build a website that will display right in IE7 than it is with Firefox. -
I want to use target="_blank" in my links, but I'm using XHTML and when I go to validate my code, it says that the attribute "target" does not exist.
How do I get around this?
-
OK then... is there any benefit to doing all that complicated stuff above over using eregi()?
-
I'd just say if orange is your color scheme, make the links a matching shade of orange. The black text should be fine.

Here is some hints-

Look at photoshoplab.com or webdesignfromscratch.com and get some good layout/design ideas

That yellow/orange looks much better with dark grays than white

Make your google adsense ads match the site colors!

Link colors should match site design

More than one color is usually needed in a site's theme (three works well)
Just some pointers... -
Linking to your MySpace as your.... whatever you want to call it, credentials, doesn't seem like the best thing in the world.
-
Looks good, except that the page isn't 100% wide, so there is a huge white space on the right side.
Rome wasen't built in a day, neithier are complex PHP scripts
I'm going to have to disagree on that. Complex PHP scripts can be built in a day if you spend you entire day on it ;) I'm just kidding, I just couldn't resist. haha.

You'd need one really large bottle of Fanta :P
Does Fanta improve your ability to properly code? :D (Goes to buy some Fanta...) -
That did not fix it.... :-\

OK, that worked.
But for the infamous but...
What about on this page: http://webaxiss.thathamkid.com/search.php?search=something ? -

I haven't looked at any of my sites in IE 7 yet ... because I'm scared to death at what it is doing to them.
But here is a link to the original auther of the "holly Hack". These people know how to deal with all versions of IE (including 7) http://www.positioniseverything.net/

IE7 actually handles bad CSS code better than firefox and ie6. My CSS was invalid and displayed perfectly fine in IE7 and looked terrible in firefox and ie6. (Now valid it still is messed up in firefox) -

The header background image is lowered down from the top. The CSS is valid so I don't know what is causing the problem. Can anyone tell me from experience, or should I post the code, or what? I really want to fix this. -
Is there something wrong with using eregi() to check for a correct email pattern?

The layout looks neat, but as previously stated, the text is hard to read, and gray text on a gray submit button doesn't work too well. Plus the text is TINY....

Very simple design, reminds me of a "formal" blog, not really a tech resource.
As for the other issue, simple state on a legal page that when you submit whatever to the dump, the ownership is hereby transferred to the dump, and then just put something like a CC Liscense on all the content.

Yep. I had some guy come to me and say "I need a banner and a promotional button for my website not yet built." yesterday. I asked what he wanted and he said... "I dont know".
Anyway, as previously stated, the gradients are too harsh, so is the color scheme.
