I don't know about you guys, but I always thought html/css was much more difficult than programming. HTML/CSS has to be configured for browsers that read things differently and that was more of a pain than programming. Well but I suppose you could classifiy HTML/CSS programming as well.

Pretty cool buildings. I'd like to live in the upside down church.

Well, yeah, have a server with your language that coded it on it, the database or whatever else you are using?
I mean, I just don't understand what there is technological about it? You just host a server and its there? Well, I suppose like a domain? Do you have one registered yet?
-
To launch a site...Well lets see here...Some free software (Not a pirate) and a server/shared web hosting?
What does your site do or has it already been coded?
-
I'm not really understanding what you are saying. Go-live for what?
-
Just for future reference on secruity, how did your site obtain that in your source code? You can't add your own script into source code with like XSS or mysql injections right or anything of that sort?
-
I'm not understand this.
What waynewex did was change the post content into a comment? How will anyone ever be able to post then or am I missing something here?
-
Alright, thanks, that makes sense of it now.
Edit: You're*

I just saw some guy recently try to sell his domains and when you went to them the pages had no content. I thought this was illegal and he said otherwise, but also this could be because its against the rules to try to sell stuff on misc. forums? I'm not sure. Any clarification would be great.
Thanks.

Well, do your scripts have any value or are they mostly useless? If they have any value, what is the point of giving out scripts for free?
I don't know, personally I don't see the point of giving out free work if it has value unless you are using it as a form of advertisment?
-
Oh wow, I got a great idea! Make a flawless text based game! That would be awesome and that can require quite a bit for a server!
No, don't ask me how to make a flawless text based game though, but its a good suggestion right? None of them exist, so its unique!

Do you happen to be a Mac or PC user yourself?
-
Probably the only entertaining commerical to see on T.V., nrg_alpha. Which episode happens to be your faviorte?
-
Microsoft demonstrated that it's not easy to counter with those god-awful Seinfeld / Gates commercials..
I did not read most of these posts as I have read so many posts of Mac VS PC that I just ignore them at this point. I must agree with you fully on that, those advertisments are just terrible and way too long. Do I really want to watch a 20 minute commerical? No, 30 seconds is short and quick to the point which Mac has mastered.
Does anyone here think the PC (Bill Gates and Seinfiled) ads are any good?
EDIT: Didn't see you post there, Corbin. Do you think the Mac Ads are funny are not at all or mediocre? On a scale of 1-10 what would you rate the Mac Ads and 1-10 on the PC ads.
-
Man, you people are completely off. You are supposed to laugh from how ridiculous the advertisments are. I'm not saying macs are better at the moment (they were 15 years back) but I'm saying just the jokes they use on the ads are funny. Don't any of you people have a sense of humour?
EDIT: I seriously can't believe you guys turned this into a Mac VS PC thread. Not like we need another one of those! No one appreciates the humour that the Mac people put into making the advertisments? Oh, while we are bickering about which is better, PC or Mac, how about we do a which is better? IE or FF?
-
I've gotten quite a few chuckles from the Mac Ads myself, and no, I'm not a mac user. I mean you gotta give them credit for making funny ads.
Here is the list of them for those who don't know about them:
http://www.apple.com/getamac/ads/
Then youtube the names of the episodes if you don't have macs software thing installed.
I would have to say Choose a Vista and Work Vs. Home are the best ones though. Whats your faviortes?
-
Ah, okay thats cool corbin. I don't know the legal side of things, but if they could legally make it illegally for us to use any copy, that wouldn't be cool.
-
Yeah, I'm using a text document as my PHP editor and I can't find the highlight syntax button or anything similar to the sort! Any help would be great. I really have looked over that thing quite well and I can't believe I missed it.
-
I don't really find interest in any of the new Blizzard games. Most of them look so cartoony and animey.
-
Assuming they made all MySQL DBs have a price, could they do this for people who have a free copy or do we still get to keep that?
-
Dreamwest, you should post on freelancing about asking for a script to be made for you though.
-
Heh, well I guess 0% of you guys do?
Although I have to say this is probably the funniest board I have seen on phpfreaks.com. Especailly zanus' post.
-
Like my topic said, so like all typing goes into a .txt format and just change it to a .php and then just update the page to see what happens to what you modified?
-
Masterace14, now thats taking it a little too far. Now I'm going to cry to CV to get your post removed!

I agree with tylerdiaz. It isn't the same thing with HTML/CSS and programming. HTML/CSS is mostly more of an artsy thing and more people with art are better than that. People with rigor are generally not too good with HTML/CSS but way better at programming.
Neither should be degraded as they both make up the webpages of the intornetz!!!
