You do have to set the questionmarks to a value somewhere, and suprisingly enough they start at 1 instead of 0.

So

$stmt->bindParam( 1, $email );
$stmt->bindParam( 2, $password );
$stmt->bindParam( 3, $firstname );
$stmt->bindParam( 4, $lastIp );
$stmt->bindParam( 5, $originIp );
$stmt->bindParam( 6, $signup );

Don't forget to change the <title> when it's put to use

What's the ton of space in the footer good for? Content to follow?
For the form I'd start with labels and then let javascript take the labeltext and put it inside the inputfield (and letter javascript remove the label), works a bit beter, or at least start with a darker text color as atm with javascript disabled it's quite hard to see what you're typing.
Newest members looks like a list <ul><li> to me, but it's a bunch of divs. Could put the name of the person inside a <cite> as well (your own name in the footer could be inside a <cite> as well.
http://myportfolioww.comli.com/privacy-policy.php looks bad at a high resolution, got nearly as much white space under the footer as above it, same for the signup page etc, everything with little content
http://myportfolioww.comli.com/signup.php form elements should be accompanied by a <label> with it's for attribute set to the elements ID.
It's always the signup link in the menu that's highlighted, should that be for the current page?

The design itself I quite like, I'd however change the copyright bit at the bottom right to align in the center of the menu above it.

PHP 4 end of life announcement

Today it is exactly three years ago since PHP 5 has been released. In those three years it has seen many improvements over PHP 4. PHP 5 is fast, stable & production-ready and as PHP 6 is on the way, PHP 4 will be discontinued.

The PHP development team hereby announces that support for PHP 4 will continue until the end of this year only. After 2007-12-31 there will be no more releases of PHP 4.4. We will continue to make critical security fixes available on a case-by-case basis until 2008-08-08. Please use the rest of this year to make your application suitable to run on PHP 5.

For documentation on migration for PHP 4 to PHP 5, we would like to point you to our migration guide. There is additional information available in the PHP 5.0 to PHP 5.1 and PHP 5.1 to PHP 5.2 migration guides as well.

PHP4 doesn't even get security fixes anymore.

Classes can't start with a number, they ALWAYS needs to start with a letter, after that you're free to use numbers. (this is what made firefox ignore the classes completely)

Speed
The site loads very very slow
- you don't have content compression enabled.
- The site uses 25!! background images, look into using CSS sprites
- You're using tables for layout tables need to fully loaded before your browser can render them, unless you do some extra work. But since it isn't tabular data you oughta fix the source of problem and switch over to divs/whatever other tags would make sense.
- Not all of your javascript/css is minified
- You have 6 external javascript files and 3 stylesheets, combine those where possible to reduce the number of http requests.

Personal opinion

The searchbox is too small and the button next to it is too big, I'd make the text on the button simply "Go" and the textbox itself wider.
Other than that, I think the text for the 'read more' links in the footer is too big, and the sitemap/disclaimer links I don't like the color off, blue on blue.
I'd get rid of the top banner, it's too prominent, people don't visit a site to see ads yet it's the first thing greeting them on your site.. not to mention they're mainly seem to be to your competitors and since your site is loading so slow I might actually be tempted to click it instead of waiting for the page to finish loading.

I'd make the links at the bottom both centered and darker, they're hard to read atm. (If you plan on adding another link I'd prefer to have them as they are atm, left aligned)

Use a <blockquote> for testimonials and <cite> for the person who wrote it

Besides the already mentioned use of tables for layout you used a <center> tag, which has been depecrated since HTML 4.0 (Yes, that's since 1997, so the advice for the last 12 years has been not to use them).

Tags besides <td> are rare on your site, take a look at the available xhtml tags . Each one has a purpose and should be used where it makes sense.

http://www.draconicmedia.com/services.php <- use of tables there is fine as it's tabular data, however tables have more 'child elements' available to them than just <td>. For example "custom WEB design" should be in a <caption> and the text on the left should be <th> instead of <td>.

You can as you've seen, you just can't break something up into pieces.. since that's not styling, that's altering the content.

tried overflow: hidden; on the set width td to hide it

or overflow: auto; to make it add a scrollbar if they content is 'too wide'.

Although I do remember this not working like I wanted it to, so you might have to add display: block;... or simply add a div with the width inside the table cell with the overflow.

And yes, ajax will kill your SEO.. you simply have to have mindset. Disable javascript in your browser and see what you can still access, that will pretty much be the same as search engines can.
So if you made something rely on javascript to be enabled a search engine wont index it, simple as that.

I type gibberish at times.

Anyhow, if you want search engines to find your content you have to avoid relying on javascript and/or flash to get to the content. Search engines don't understand it (that statement isn't entirely true btw) and thus can't find it.

A nice way of giving a better idea what is and what isn't accessible is by using a browser that supports not much more than just html, such as lynx

A directory automatically looks up an index.html/.php/.jsp/.whateverTheServerIsConfiguredToLookUp.

But the links you're often seeing are the work of mod rewrite or some creative use of apache's behaviour to go up a directory when it can't find a file.
