what's a vardump of the $headrs look like for each of one of the working examples and the non working example?

you would wrap the <select> elementinside the <td> not the <option> element. simply echoing somting like this echo "<td><select name=\"name\"><?php //your option echo loop here ?> </select></td> should get your select boxes to appear in the table.

try changing the if(isset($_POST)){ to somthing like this : if($_SERVER['REQUEST_METHOD'] != "POST" || !isset($_POST['email']) || !isset($_POST['message'])){ header('Location: yourFormPage.php'); else{ //your email script } obviously you will need to change the "yourFormPage.php" to the actual form page name and location. You should always check if things like $_POST / $_GET are not there, this avoids any udefined refference warnings on the page which can happen by checking if they are.

that's why I'm asking why it is being done this way, this sounds like a strange way to do things. Break down the assignment, and the technology involved, and lets see if there is a better alternative to the way things are being done at the moment.

If you layout your actual query in this way you will get a much more helpfull line number refference in the error and it will save everyone quite some time in the long run.

what does "Doesn't work at all" even mean? is it not sending the email? is it erroring out? is it sending a blank message? what solutions have you tried? have you heard of "error checking"? what debugging have you done? If you want people to put the effort in to help you find a solution - you need to put the effort in to properly explain the problem and the steps you have taken so far to try and solve it.

which may well depend on how joomla rendres the information that it uses in it's tables. have you done a vardump of your $ime to see what's in there?

try using self::errors[] = "you forgot..."; incase it's something funky about the static method call, failing that you can always try User::errors[] = "you forgot...";

as JCBones said, your variable names are out of sync, take the Field off the end of each of the variables that you assigning from the post array in the Gather Data Variables section

yeah, sorry. as you are populating the class level parameter you don't need any further return from those checks

yeah, so all you need to do is change the line errors[] = "you forgot..." to $this->errors[] = "your forgot..." just as you have it in the save() method of your photo manager class. unless you make a whole new class extension template you will need to address each error property sepporately. the $errors in your User class is not the same $errors that is in your photo manager class, although it can be accessed in the same way as long as it's assigned in the same way.
