  1. All right, it's a little terrible that I need to ask for help on my PORTFOLIO. I have always been moderately good at coding, but design is not my strong suit. My websites ALWAYS come out looking terrible and amateur. I'm confident I'm plenty good enough to get some work done for ma' and pa' businesses done, but I still want to improve. No matter what I try, I cannot be satisfied aesthetically with my website. (HundleyDeveloping.com) I think I know what is bugging me, but not how to fix it. First of all, I think I may need to change the headers? Perhaps they are too styled? Second, I cannot get the layout of the text right. It just does not look right two columned like that, but on the other hand I don't think it would look good single columned either, because my content area is too wide. I could solve that problem by adding a sidebar, but I simply have nothing to put there. Lastly, the lack of graphics seems to bug me too. But, where the heck am I going to get graphics? Again the site is HundleyDeveloping.com Thanks in advanced guys, I really appreciate any help given.
  2. Please help. My client added some or other validation code to her sidebar php file and then deleted it, and I am sure she deleted something else important as we now get this error, instead of the sidebar: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in/home/virtualp/public_html/linkymerwe.com/wp-content/themes/Multiple_Streams_Theme/sidebar.php on line 133 The actual codes is below, can you please help? Regards Sandra <div class="Sidebar"> <ul> <?php if ( function_exists('dynamic_sidebar') && dynamic_sidebar() ) : else : ?> <?php $featuredPost = new WP_Query(); $featuredPost->query('category_name=featured&showposts=1&orderby=date'); while ($featuredPost->have_posts()) : $featuredPost->the_post(); ?> <li class="featured" id="featured-<?php the_ID(); ?>"> <h2>Featured Post</h2> <div class="entry"> <h3><a href="<?php the_permalink(); ?>" title="<?php the_title(); ?>"> <?php the_title(); ?> </a></h3> <?php the_excerpt(); ?> <a href="<?php the_permalink(); ?>" title="<?php the_title(); ?>"><img src="<?php bloginfo('stylesheet_directory');?>/images/featured-read-more.png" alt="Read More" id="featured-read-more" /></a> </div> </li><?php endwhile; ?> <table width="295" border="0" cellspacing="4" cellpadding="4"> <tr> <td width="37"><a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/LinkyMerwe" target="_blank"><img src="http://www.linkymerwe.com/images/RSS reader.png" alt="Subscribe To My Blog Feed" width="50" height="50" border="1"></a></td> <td width="250"><a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/LinkyMerwe" target="_blank"><h2>Subscribe To My Blog Feed</h2></a></span></td> </tr> </table> <p><h2><a href="http://feedburner.google.com/fb/a/mailverify?uri=LinkyMerwe&loc=en_US">Subscribe by Email</a></h2></p> <p> <h2>Download Free Reports!</h2><br> <h3>1. <a href= "http://www.virtualprojectconsulting.com/socialmedia/">Top Ten Questions Social Media Report</a></h3> <p><h3>2. <a href= "http://www.virtualprojectconsulting.com/socialmedia/smstrategybonus.htm">Free Social Media Strategy Template</a></h3> <p><h3>3. <a href= "http://linkymerwe.com/mobilemarketingactivation/mobile-marketing-free-report.html">Mobile Marketing for your Business</a> </h3> <p><h3>4. <a href= "http://linkymerwe.com/mobilemarketingactivation/localsearch-optin.html">Free Local Search e-course</a></h3> <p><h3>5. <a href= "http://linkymerwe.com/21emailtips.htm">21 Email Marketing Tips e-course</a></h3> </p> <P> <div class="module-elsewhere module"> <h2 class="module-header"></h2> <h2>Let's be Social!</h2> <p> <div class="module-content"> <a href="http://twitter.com/virtualpm" rel="me"><img src="http://www.virtualprojectconsulting.com/images/Twitter.png" alt="Twitter" width="26" height="26" /></a> <a href="http://www.facebook.com/pages/Linky-Merwe-Integrated-Communication-Marketing-Advisor/153813888007662?sk=app_190322544333196" rel="me"><img src="http://www.virtualprojectconsulting.com/images/Facebook.png" alt="Facebook" width="26" height="26" /></a> <a href="http://www.linkedin.com/in/virtualpm" rel="me"><img src="http://linkymerwe.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/linkedin-web.jpg" alt="LinkedIn" width="26" height="26" /></a> <a href="http://www.google.com/profiles/Linkymerwe" rel="me"><img src="http://linkymerwe.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/google-plus-web.jpg" alt="Google+" width="26" height="26" /></a> <a href="http://www.friendfeed.com/virtualpm" rel="me"><img src="http://www.virtualprojectconsulting.com/images/friendfeed_32.png" alt="FriendFeed" width="26" height="26" /></a> <p><a href="http://pinterest.com/linkymerwe/"><img src="http://passets-cdn.pinterest.com/images/about/buttons/follow-me-on-pinterest-button.png" width="169" height="28" alt="Follow Me on Pinterest" /></a> <p><a href='http://vizualize.me/virtualpm?r=virtualpm' title='Linky Van Der Merwe's infographic CV on vizualize.me' target='_blank'><img src='http://vizualize.me/media/img/socialicons/viewmyviz.png'/></a> <p><h2>Book for an Online Marketing Strategy</h2><br> <h3><a href="http://www.internetmarketingadvisor.co.za" >Linky-Internet Marketing Advisor, IMA for Cape Town</a></h3> </div> <p> <div class="fb-like-box" data-href="http://www.facebook.com/integratedcommunicationadvisor" data-width="292" data-show-faces="true" data-stream="true" data-header="true"></div> <P> <a href="http://secure.hostgator.com/~affiliat/cgi-bin/affiliates/clickthru.cgi?id=linkypm "><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-540" title="web hosting" src="http://linkymerwe.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/hostgator-234x60-animated.gif" alt="Hostgator web hosting" width="234" height="60" /></a> <P> <div class="module-elsewhere module"> <h2 class="module-header"></h2> <a href="http://www.whitepapersource.com/cmd.php?Clk=5004129" target="_blank"><img title="300x250" src="http://www.socialmediaexaminer.com/images/SMMW_AdD.png" alt="" width="300" height="250" /></a> <!--Begin---> <!--End---> <p> <h2>Free Webinar!</h2> <p> <div class="module-content"> <a href="http://dcswebinar.dotcomsecrets.com/w/2?tracking1=361"> <img src="http://linkymerwe.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/box4-webinar1.gif" alt="Webinar -   3. Hi, I wonder whether someone may be able to help me please. I've put together this page http://www.mapmyfind.../chris/test.php which allows the user to add and remove Google Map markers via a 'Category' check box selection. In addition, as each marker is added or removed from the map, the linked 'Description' is added and removed from the 'Sidebar' (shown in orange). You will see that as a map marker is selected a 'Infowindow' is created above the marker and the linked 'Sidebar Description Item' is highlighted in grey. The problem I'm having is that I cannot find a way to make the 'Sidebar' automatically scroll so the the sidebar item is visible to the user. To illustrate this a little better than I can perhaps explain, I have found an example here http://www.blocsoft....xample12.V3.asp which highlights the behaviour I'm looking for. I've read many a tutorial and tried several plugins, all without success. I just wondered whether someone could perhaps take a look at this please and let me know where I'm going wrong. I really would be most grateful of any help as I've been working on this for several weeks. Many thanks and kind regards
