Ok help me solve a debate.

Point A on the drawing is your destination. It may be a store or church or whatever.

You are in a car marked C in the parking lot. You are traveling in the direction of the arrow.

Are you going up the aisle or down the aisle?

See attachment for diagram.

When it comes to "down" and "up" aisles, hallways, etc., I've always considered the terms interchangeable. In this situation, though, I'd probably say "up", since you're heading towards the point of reference.

Ultimately though, I'd say a debate on this subject is probably an exercise in futility. :) There is a lot of room for liberal interpretation.

(I like arguments with room for liberal interpretation. Especially something like this - it's fun, interesting, and you don't lose friends over it.)

futility is fun!  ;D

i say down the aisle because you start at the top and work your way down...like a drop of dew dripping down a blade of grass    ::)

uh oh!  feeling poetic...did a quick google search for a haiku...here you go!

Dew

dawn approaches

dew on grass blades

the night cries

night sheds tears

rebirth of dawn

dew on grass

as night dies

dew on grass

dawn's tears

dew-

dawns tears

on morning grass
